Processing and its role in a sustainable red meat industry

An Agricultural Science graduate of Lincoln University, Tim’s early work career included The Treasury, the NZ Freezing Companies Association and NZ Meat Exporters Council. Subsequently he undertook senior management roles within the meat industry in NZ and internationally including, General Manager, Towers International; Corporate Development Manager, and London based Managing Director Europe for Waitaki International; Managing Director, Advanced Foods of New Zealand.  Then, with P&O Containers NZ as General Manager Marketing and Commercial.

Tim has also held a number of general management positions with the New Zealand Meat Board and Meat & Wool NZ, including a period in Brussels as General Manager Europe. In 2007 he was appointed Chief Executive of the Meat Industry Association (trade association representing processors and exporters) and holds Chairman and Directorships on a number of associated companies including Ovine Automation Ltd, Beef + Lamb NZ Inc, the Shippers Council and AmCham in NZ.
